You are entering the inventor’s log, and we hope it inspires you!
It is exhilarating to develop an original idea. Holly Seeley, the inventor of The Travel Angel, learned this in 2005. Holly had graduated from The University of Texas and was working and traveling around Texas. With numerous outfits to wear for work and multiple destinations on her travel list each week, Holly needed an efficient luggage system to quickly, elegantly, and efficiently hang and display her wardrobe – not a box on the floor to rummage around in.
Around this same time, Holly became a Christian, and decided to follow Jesus Christ’s teachings with all her heart. She read the Bible front to back and studied every verse. On the path to understanding obedience, Holly considered the issue of tithing, or giving 10% of one’s income to the church. It seemed so medieval. But time and again this command surfaced in her reading. She chose to simply obey in this area. That very night, the idea for this invention came to Holly in a dream. When she woke up she had a new idea and the energy and excitement to pursue it. She patented The Travel Angel, a suitcase with an extendable closet rod built in to the frame. Holly perfected her product through numerous rounds of design, manufacturing, and testing. From the four spinner wheels to the inside hooks and extra zipper pockets, The Travel Angel has been designed and manufactured with style and durability. The product line officially launched in the summer of 2017.
The connection between obedience and divine inspiration will forever bloom in Holly’s heart. Holly learned that ideas, and the enthusiasm to see them through, are more precious and harder to come by than money itself. Holly believes that loving and obeying God was the beginning of a new, adventurous way of living. She hopes to serve the travel goods market with a much-needed, intuitive, and well-made luggage line to help travelers navigate their adventures!
Holly is inspired by Psalm 37:4: “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
